UNDERSTANDING OFFSIDES
You have to understand offsides before you can coach your players! Watch this animation will make you an expert on the offside rule. In TSA offsides is not called until U9 6v6 field.
UNDERSTANDING THE POINT SYSTEM IN STANDINGS
In the U9 age group and above the score of games are kept as well as standings.
- Basic Point System: 3pts for a win, 1 for tie, 0 for loss
- TieBreak System: 6pts for win, 3 for tie 0 for loss. Then 1 pt for each goal scored up to three goals. 1 pt for a shutout. So if a team wins 3-0, the receive 10 tie-break pts.
